The story of Riviera Ligure DOP Oil stretches back over 2,000 years. Ancient Ligurians, influenced by Greek colonies and Etruscan trade, cultivated olivastro—the wild olive tree. During Roman rule, the domestic olive tree was introduced, forging a deep bond with the Ligurian landscape. This enduring relationship survived the fall of the Roman Empire, preserving a tradition that thrives to this day.
